Job Overview

DHL Global Forwarding is looking for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor to lead one of our warehouse and distribution projects for an international client in Madrid. This temporary role (7-8 months) is a perfect opportunity for your professional development.
Main Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise the receipt, selection, storage, and shipment of materials and goods.
- Ensure proper implementation of logistics procedures in the warehouse.
- Manage warehouse equipment and locations under the guidance of the Warehouse Manager.
- Oversee warehouse resource management, including time control and resource allocation.
- Manage invoice processing and local transport operations.
- Implement and monitor security and health & safety protocols, including the safe use of MHE and H&S equipment.
- Coordinate with maintenance and security companies as well as warehouse installations for events.
- Open and close the warehouse at designated locations during events.
- Establish and oversee internal processes to support the Warehouse Manager.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in warehouse management or logistics operations.
- Proven experience in team management and coordination in a warehouse setting.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS); SAP experience is an advantage.
- Competence in invoice management and financial reporting.
- Experience in local transport management and logistics coordination.
- Proven track record in implementing security and health & safety protocols.
- Excellent resource management, time management, and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours and willingness to relocate temporarily for events.
- Relevant certifications in logistics, warehouse management, or H&S are a plus.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills and good knowledge of English.
