Job Overview

This position is physically located in Kuwait in support of LOGCAP. You will work directly under a Warehouse Supervisor in Supply Support Activities operations, responsible for receiving, storing, and issuing expendable goods and OCIE to various military customers.

You will manage accounts and financial transactions for Supply Support Activities in theater. A working knowledge of the US Army Supply System (Wholesale and Retail Operations) is desired but not mandatory.

Proficiency in warehouse operations is required.


Responsibilities

  • Count and sort incoming material to verify receipt of items on requisition or invoices.
  • Examine stock to verify quantity or conformance to specifications; store material appropriately in bins, on shelves, or in containers.
  • Fill orders or issue supplies from stock and prepare periodic, special, or perpetual inventory.
  • Compile reports on stock handling equipment use, inventory adjustments, damage, shelf life, location changes, and shipment denials.
  • Prepare daily CDRLs for inventory, receipts, issues, and other required reports.
  • Mark identifying codes on articles using labeling equipment.
  • Adjust inventory articles, determining methods of storage based on environmental factors and space requirements.
  • Ensure physical security of sensitive items per Army Regulations and local policy.
  • Maintain inventory and stock records using a computer terminal; manage USG personnel clothing records.
  • Receive, store, and sort unserviceable equipment for disposal.
  • Ensure all employees comply with established Safety Policies and Regulations.
  • Safeguard all Army Property and Equipment.
  • Prepare, read, and analyze records and reports using Automated Information Systems (GCSS-Army, ISM, and General Stores).
  • Maintain accurate CIF’s OCIE Property books in ISM.
  • Ensure quality, professionalism, and timeliness in customer interactions regarding issues, sales, shipping, turn-in, and DX.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor or Manager.

Qualifications

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; one-year related experience may substitute for one year of education if a degree is required.
  • Well versed in warehousing and storage operations.
  • Valid driver’s license required; must obtain a U.S. Government Motor Vehicle Operator’s License and Kuwait Driver’s License.
  • Must be able to maintain USG Network access & CAC card privileges.
  • Three (3) years military experience in warehousing and supply operations desired, or comparable civilian experience in Automated Information Systems.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, man lift, etc.).
  • Knowledge of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and storage requirements based on hazard class.
  • Leadership, management skills, and a professional demeanor are required.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • High-level organizational and planning skills; ability to multitask and maintain accuracy.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft applications.

Clearance & Physical Requirements

  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to obtain required licenses.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • Must work in extreme environmental conditions (dust, high temperatures) and endure long hours, exposure to weather, and hazardous conditions.
