🛠️ Key Responsibilities
- Data Governance:
- Develop and enforce data governance policies and procedures
- Define data ownership and stewardship roles within the organization
- Ensure compliance with data privacy laws and regulations (e.g., GDPR, DPDP)
- Data Lifecycle Management:
- Oversee the entire data lifecycle, ensuring proper archiving and disposal
- Maintain comprehensive data documentation and metadata repositories
- Data-Driven Strategy:
- Promote the use of data for strategic decision-making and planning
- Provide guidance on best practices for data usage and support data analytics initiatives
- Quality & Security:
- Establish and monitor data quality metrics; identify and resolve quality issues

- Serve as the primary point of contact for data-related queries and issues

✅ Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field; Master’s degree or certifications (e.g., CDMP) are highly desirable
- Experience: 10–12 years in data management or data governance, with proven leadership in managing cross-functional teams
- Technical Skills:
- Proficient in data governance tools, data quality management, metadata management, and data privacy regulations
- Familiarity with data architecture, data modeling, and advanced data manipulation techniques
- Expertise in using data cataloging tools and performing data profiling, cleansing, validation, and enrichment
- Industry Knowledge: Experience in coal mining is a plus, if applicable, with an understanding of industry-specific data challenges
- Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent leadership, project management, and stakeholder management skills
- Outstanding communication skills to articulate complex data insights to non-technical audiences
