Job Overview

We are seeking a mobile Freight Transport Dispatcher to join our client in the large-scale distribution sector. If you enjoy combining field service with administrative tasks and are passionate about transport and logistics, this role is for you! Immediate start available.

Main Responsibilities

Field Responsibilities:

• Ensure quality of orders during responsibility handover with the preparation team.
• Manage stocks (containers, delivery materials).
• Accompany drivers on the field to evaluate and optimize delivery methods.
• Train new employees and monitor their development.

Administrative Responsibilities:

• Optimize routes using a TMS system.
• Communicate delivery routes to the operational team and transport service providers, ensuring planned deadlines are met.
• Follow up on delivery routes and manage unforeseen events (e.g., breakdowns, major traffic jams).
• Encode data from activity reports and update databases daily.
• Monitor driver productivity and provide feedback during meetings.
• Constantly monitor transport activities to ensure efficiency.

Required Skills & Experience

• Thoroughness, precision, and excellent adaptability.
• A results-oriented and problem-solving mindset with excellent stress management skills.
• Ability to combine field work with administrative tasks.
• Proficient in Excel.
• Very flexible working hours; availability for various shifts (start times between 7:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.) with teleworking possibility between 5:30 p.m. and 12:30 p.m.
• Availability from Monday to Saturday (no Sundays).
• Must be able to travel to sites in Waterloo and Borsbeek.
• Experience as a Freight Transport Dispatcher (minimum 2 years preferred).

• Possession of a Category B driving license.

• Fluency in French and Dutch (min. B2-C1 level); Polish proficiency is required.
