Job Overview

Hilton is seeking a dynamic Food & Beverage Coordinator to join our team at the Auckland Hotel Princes Wharf. In this role, you will be the primary liaison for restaurant and bar sales opportunities while supporting outlet managers with administrative tasks and reporting duties. This position plays a crucial role in enhancing revenue and ensuring that guests receive the exceptional service Hilton is known for.

Main Responsibilities

  • Handle F&B inquiries including group, private, and corporate bookings.
  • Follow up on leads and secure business by liaising with kitchen and outlet managers for unique requests.
  • Assist the operational team with editing menus in collaboration with Marketing and the Executive Chef; ensure printed and online menus are current.
  • Activate F&B promotions through our reservation system and communicate revenue pick-up and booking progress for outlet events.
  • Coordinate with sales teams for corporate events and reach out to potential repeat clients.
  • Assist in the administrative preparation of special events and promotions, including updating weekly event sheets two weeks in advance.
  • Manage event orders for outlets and support outlets with POS systems by creating buttons and printing reports.
  • Attend F&B meetings and record minutes, complete competition analysis, and report on monthly health and safety checks.
  • Source quotes for equipment, create and coordinate vouchers, and liaise with the Housekeeping team regarding F&B uniforms.
  • Perform any additional duties or projects assigned by the F&B Services Manager or Executive Chef.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a high-end Food & Beverage environment.
  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • At least 2 years of experience in Food & Beverage, Guest Services, or a related professional area.
  • Ability to read and understand work-related documents and communicate effectively in writing.
  • Proficient in English; strong computer literacy is essential.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills.
