Job Overview
Within our Constraint Engineering Function in the Engineering Department, TENT SAS is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will analyze and verify the technical and economic adequacy of proposals for modifications and adaptations of works execution projects, monitor execution phase projects, and provide specialized technical risk analysis – particularly for underground civil engineering works related to linear infrastructure.
Main Responsibilities
- Analyze and verify the technical and economic adequacy of proposals for modifications and adaptations of works execution projects entrusted to design and construction companies.
- Monitor the development of execution phase projects to ensure compliance with functional requirements and applicable regulations, ensuring consistency across various operational sites.
- Provide specialized assistance to the Construction Department in technical risk analysis for underground civil engineering works.
- Monitor technical, regulatory, and industry developments to support contract management during the works execution phase.
- Collect, analyze, and preserve relevant documentation using TMS or TELT document management systems.
- Interface with external organizations on technical matters and contribute to the development of technical specifications within the Engineering Department.
- Assist Project Planning and Control in planning, forecasting budgets, and tracking progress against defined indicators.
- Conduct site visits and technical inspections at various construction sites, both open-air and underground.
- Support Contract Management during the maintenance and operation phase of the New Line and assist with strategy and safety audits.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably in the geotechnical/geomechanical field.
- At least 5 years of experience in railway works, managing interfaces between civil works and technological installations.
- Expert knowledge of specialized disciplines in underground civil works, including geotechnics, geomechanics, construction methods, and logistics.
- Proficiency in linear infrastructure project management using BIM and GIS.
- Excellent IT skills and ability to work within a complex, interdisciplinary team.
- Fluent in Italian (C2 level) with basic/intermediate French as a desired asset.
About the Role
You will be responsible for managing technical interfaces between civil works and technological equipment, ensuring the smooth execution and subsequent maintenance of large-scale railway and linear infrastructure projects. Your analytical and technical skills will be critical in proposing alternative solutions and interfacing with multiple stakeholders both inside and outside the organization.
