Integrated Building Services Engineer
We are looking for a dynamic and proactive Integrated Building Services Engineer to join our team in Malta. The ideal candidate will play a key role in designing, overseeing, and managing integrated building services for a variety of projects, ensuring top-tier quality standards and a focus on sustainability.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and oversee the installation of essential building services, including heating, lighting, ventilation, air-conditioning, electrical systems, ELV, water supply, sanitation, fire protection, safety systems, lifts, and acoustics.
- Carry out schematic, conceptual, developed, and detailed designs, as well as supervise, test, and commission building services systems.
- Approve materials, equipment, and workshop designs in accordance with contract specifications.
- Assist in cost estimation, forecasting, and ensuring projects remain within budget using whole-life costing techniques.
- Support payment applications, variations, and claims.
- Develop site-specific equipment as needed and monitor building systems and operational processes.
- Conduct energy audits, testing, and system commissioning.
- Coordinate MEP designs with other disciplines to ensure seamless integration.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, professional standards, and best practices.
- Maintain project quality assurance, ensuring all aspects of building services are efficiently managed and controlled.
Requirements
- A recognized degree in Building Services Engineering or a related field. A master’s degree is considered an asset.
- LEED/BREEAM accreditation or similar qualifications are preferred.
- Demonstrated experience in concept development, system sizing, and detailed design across diverse sectors and complex projects.
- Chartered or warranted engineer status is advantageous.
- Strong project management and commissioning expertise, including financial oversight.
- In-depth knowledge of quality assurance, safety standards, and environmental sustainability principles.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office; experience with BIM, Revit, Hevacomp, and IES is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
- Ability to thrive under pressure and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to present technical concepts clearly and confidently.
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to foster productive relationships and optimize outcomes.
